Quick answers

Will the silicone band irritate my skin?

Most people are fine with it. If your skin is sensitive, wear the band over dry skin without lotion and take the stockings off if you notice redness.

These feel hard to pull on. Is that normal?

Yes: graduated compression is snug at the ankle on purpose. Put them on in the morning on dry skin, turn the sock inside out to the heel, and use rubber gloves or our Easy-On Kit if your hands are stiff.

How do I choose my size?

Measure the widest part of your calf (and your ankle) in the morning, sitting with your foot flat. Email us the numbers and we will tell you your size; between sizes, choose the larger one.

From our house

Why people choose these

Thigh-highs cover the knee and thigh as well as the calf. A wide band lined with silicone dots holds them in place without a garter belt, and the open toe keeps your toes free. They take more effort to put on than knee-highs: the set with our frame donner helps.

Good for

  • Heaviness or swelling above the knee
  • People who find knee-high cuffs dig in behind the knee
  • Wearing skirts and dresses
  • Anyone whose doctor suggested a thigh-high

How to put them on

  1. Turn it inside out

Reach in, pinch the heel and turn the sock inside out down to the heel.

  2. Heel first

Slide your foot in until your heel sits in the heel pocket.

  3. Ease it up

Unroll the sock up your leg a little at a time, smoothing out wrinkles. Rubber gloves help you grip.

Questions and answers

Can I wear them to bed?

Most people take compression off at bedtime. Unless your doctor tells you otherwise, wear them during the day.

What if they do not fit?

Tell us within 30 days. We swap the size or refund you, even if you have worn them, and send a free US return label.

Compression wear is not right for everyone. If you have peripheral artery disease, heart failure, fragile skin, open sores or reduced feeling in your feet, talk to your doctor before wearing it. New, painful or one-sided swelling needs a doctor, not a sock.
