Accessibility statement

Last updated October 18, 2026

Many of our customers have low vision, stiff hands or limited mobility, so we build this site to be easy to see, read and use, with or without assistive technology.

Our commitment

First Man Ventures LLC, which operates compressionhouse.com, is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people who use screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control, switch devices or only a keyboard.

Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Conformance status

Partially conformant. Most of the site meets WCAG 2.2 AA. Some third-party parts, listed below, are outside our full control. We have not had a formal third-party audit yet.

What we have done

  • Large body text (about 19 pixels) set in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface designed by the Braille Institute for readers with low vision.
  • Text and buttons meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio (4.5:1 for text, 3:1 for large text and controls).
  • Buttons, size choices and checkboxes are at least 44 to 48 pixels tall, with space between them.
  • Every page works with a keyboard, shows a clear focus outline, and starts with a "Skip to content" link.
  • Pages use real headings, landmarks and labelled form fields, and images have text alternatives.
  • Errors are explained in words next to the field or button, not by colour alone.
  • No auto-playing video or sound, no time limits, and animation is reduced when your device asks for it.
  • Pages reflow on small screens and work at 200% zoom without sideways scrolling.
  • Pop-ups (the welcome offer and the cart) can be closed with the Escape key, return focus where you were, and never cover the checkout.

Known limitations

  • Payment fields. The card, address and express-pay fields on the checkout page are provided by Stripe in secure frames. Stripe designs them to be accessible, but we cannot change their markup. If you have any trouble paying, contact us and we will help you place your order another way.
  • Address suggestions. The address field offers suggestions from Google as you type. You can ignore them and type the full address.
  • Website chat. The chat window is keyboard accessible, but replies come by email or phone rather than inside the chat.
  • Photos. Product photos have short descriptions. If you need more detail about a product's look or size, ask us and we will describe it.

How we test

Last assessed on October 18, 2026 by our team, using:

  • an automated axe-core scan of every page at desktop and phone sizes, with the issues it found fixed;
  • manual checks: keyboard-only use of every page and the checkout, 200% zoom, phone-width reflow, and colour contrast.

We review this statement at least every six months and after major changes to the site. Next review: April 18, 2027.
